Course Maps

Park City Trail Series courses feature huge western views of the Wasatch Mountains, Park City Ski Area, Deer Valley Resort and the town of Park City. The running takes place on dirt roads, single track, and double track in the Round Valley Trail Network. The vertical gains on courses are very doable and range from about under 200′ of climbing at the 5k to about 1200′ at the PCTS Half Marathon. The 10k and longer routes feature multiple climbs and descents.  The base elevation for all races is about 6500ft (1980m).  All races have a common start and finish which is convenient for family and spectators.

Park City Trail Series 5K

PLACE: Round Valley Trail Head in Quinn’s Junction

INTERACTIVE COURSE MAP

COURSE DESCRIPTION: With two short exceptions, the entire course is on graded-type dirt roads. This is the easiest terrain out of all of the courses and has the least amount of elevation gain/loss. This is a great course for children and a great introduction to trail running participants doing in their first trail running event. It is slightly longer than a 5K, measuring at 3.21 miles.

AID STATIONS: There will be one aid station at approximately 2 miles into the course. It will be stocked with water and friendly volunteers.

Park City Trail Series 10K

PLACE: Round Valley Trail Head in Quinn’s Junction

INTERACTIVE COURSE MAP

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is slightly more challenging than the 5k, and a little longer than 10K.  The course takes participants onto additional elevation gain/loss as well as more technical/rocky terrain. With more challenge comes more reward! Participants will encounter great views of the surrounding Park City scenery.

AID STATIONS: There will be 3 aid stations. Mile 1.25, mile 3.5 and mile 5.5.  They will be stocked with water and friendly volunteers.

Park City Trail Series Half Marathon

PLACE: Round Valley Trail Head in Quinn’s Junction

INTERACTIVE COURSE MAP

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is our most challenging course. Without any single hill being overwhelming on its own, the sum of its parts is what makes it challenging. This is not a course for a first time trail runner that isn’t interested in a challenge. The half marathon includes the most scenic viewpoints from all the races. In addition, it has the most technical downhill portion of any of the races. The course has a lot of single track, a lot of switchbacks, and prepares the beginner trail runner for any trail or terrain out there.

AID STATIONS: There will be four aid stations on this course. They will be stocked with water and friendly volunteers.
